1. The service
CertiChecker provides tools for issuers to create and manage certificate records, for individuals to store credentials and build Learning Passports, and for third parties to check public records. An online record helps communicate information; it is not, by itself, an endorsement of the holder, issuer, course or provider.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate information, protect your login details and be at least 18 to hold an account. You must not use the service unlawfully; upload malicious files; impersonate another person; scrape or disrupt the platform; or publish content you do not have authority to use.
We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law or address unpaid fees. We will act proportionately where circumstances allow.
3. Issuer responsibilities
Issuers are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and current status of records they create. They must have authority to use learner information, respond to correction requests, and promptly mark records expired or revoked where appropriate. Issuers must not describe a record as accredited, regulated or independently verified unless that is factually correct.
4. Personal accounts and review status
Personal users are responsible for files and profile content they upload. Stored, holder-entered and reviewed records are different states. CertiChecker does not promise that holder-entered information is authentic unless the interface specifically shows that a review has been completed.
Free-plan limits may make certificates above the included allowance inaccessible without deleting them. Paid access and public Learning Passport features depend on the current plan and subscription status shown at purchase.
5. Subscriptions, renewals and cancellation
Prices, billing periods and included limits are shown before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period until cancelled. You can manage or cancel through the billing tools made available to your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period, unless stated otherwise.
Statutory consumer rights apply where you contract as a consumer. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security events and dependencies may occasionally affect access. We may improve or change features while preserving the core purpose of paid services during an active billing period where reasonably possible.
7. Liability
Nothing limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that law does not permit us to exclude. Subject to that, CertiChecker is not responsible for decisions made solely from an unchecked record, issuer-provided inaccuracies, user-uploaded content, or indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
